Floral henna
Also called: Flower henna design and Rose henna
Henna designs built from flowers, petals and leaves rather than geometric fill, drawn in either a light open style or a fuller one.
Floral henna uses flowers as the main element: roses, lotus shapes, five-petal blossoms and buds, joined by leaves and stems. It can be drawn light, a single flower on the back of the hand with a trail to one finger, or full, with clustered blooms and shaded petals from wrist to fingertips. Shading, where the artist thins the paste at the edge of a petal so it stains lighter, is what gives modern floral work its depth.
A floral design on both hands takes around thirty to forty five minutes. It suits women who want something soft and feminine for a party or Eid, and it works at any size, which makes it a good choice for a first henna or for a girl. The stain lasts around one to three weeks like any natural henna.
Bring a picture if you have one; floral is a broad word, and a rose trail and a lotus mandala are very different designs. Hamd Beauty draws floral designs as part of its henna for both hands.
