Gel pedicure
Also called: Gel toes
A full pedicure completed in gel colour cured under a lamp, which on the toes often holds for a month or longer.
A gel pedicure is a classic pedicure, a soak, heel care, nail shaping and a foot massage, completed with gel colour instead of ordinary polish. Each layer is cured under a small lamp, so you can put on sandals as soon as the therapist packs up, with nothing to smudge.
Allow about an hour and a quarter. Because toenails grow slowly and the feet do less than the hands, gel on the toes commonly lasts four weeks or more. The colour tends to look fresh until the nail itself has grown out at the base.
Hamd Beauty offers a gel pedicure at home, with a fresh tub liner, file, buffer and toe separators for every client. Old gel on the toes needs to be soaked off first, so mention it at booking. As with any pedicure, if you have diabetes, poor circulation or a foot wound, ask your doctor first. This is general information, not medical advice.
