Bridal makeup
Also called: Wedding makeup and Bride makeup
Makeup designed for the wedding day: built to last many hours, to photograph well under flash and stage light, and to match the look agreed at the trial.
Bridal makeup differs from evening makeup in how long it must hold and how closely it is planned. The artist preps the skin, builds a base that will survive tears, heat and a long night, and works the eyes, brows, lashes and lips to a look that reads well both in the mirror and on camera. Long-wear products, setting powder and setting spray are standard, and false lashes are usual.
It takes around two hours on the day, and it is done last, after hair, so the bride is ready in the final hour. Gulf brides usually choose between a soft, natural look and a fuller, more dramatic one; either can be done well, and the trial is where you decide.
To prepare, keep skincare simple in the week before, avoid trying new products, and arrive with clean, moisturised skin and no makeup. Bring the veil and jewellery to the trial.
Hamd Beauty's bridal makeup is the wedding-day look agreed at your trial, done at home. The trial is booked at least three weeks before the wedding.
