False lashes (strip lashes)
Also called: Strip lashes and Falsies
A band of lashes glued along the lash line for one wearing, taken off at night; the quick way to add length and fullness for an evening look.
False lashes are a strip or small clusters of synthetic or natural fibre lashes fixed just above your own lashes with a temporary adhesive. The artist trims the strip to your eye, curves it, lets the glue go tacky and presses it along the lash line, then blends it with a little liner and mascara. A natural strip adds length; a fuller strip adds drama; half strips lift only the outer corner.
They go on in a few minutes and stay for the evening. They come off with a gentle peel from the outer corner, or with a cotton pad of oil based remover; never pull them dry. Lash glue can irritate some eyes, so tell the artist if you have reacted before, and skip lashes if your eyes are infected, sore or recently treated. This is general information, not medical advice.
Strip lashes are included in the Hamd Beauty evening makeup. They are not lash extensions, which are bonded lash by lash and last weeks; Hamd Beauty does not offer extensions.
