HD makeup
Also called: High definition makeup and Camera ready makeup
A style of makeup using fine, light diffusing products applied thinly so the skin looks flawless on high resolution cameras and up close.
HD makeup grew out of television, where high definition cameras show every pore and edge. The idea is thin layers of finely milled foundation and powder that scatter light, careful blending with no visible lines, and cream products instead of heavy powders, so the skin looks smooth on screen and in close up photographs. In salons the name is often used for a premium bridal or party package rather than a distinct technique.
It takes about as long as any full makeup and lasts as long when set. It suits weddings with professional photography and anyone who wants coverage without a mask like look. Ask what actually differs from the artist's standard service, because the answer varies from one salon to another.
Hamd Beauty does not sell an HD makeup package. Its evening and bridal makeup are applied in thin, blended layers and set to last, which is the same principle in practice.
We do not offer this at present. It is explained here because people ask about it.
