Henna brows
Also called: Brow henna
A brow tint that uses a henna-based powder mixed with water to stain both the brow hairs and the skin beneath, giving a filled-in look that lasts longer on the skin than a regular tint.
Henna brows use a powder based on henna, usually with added pigments, mixed into a paste and painted onto the brows in the shape wanted. It is left for longer than a regular tint, often twenty to thirty minutes, then removed. The result is a stain on the hair and a visible shadow on the skin, like a soft brow pencil. The appointment takes around forty five minutes.
The skin stain lasts around one to two weeks and the hair colour around four to six, so the look softens in stages. It suits women who want a filled, powdered effect without daily makeup, and brows with gaps.
Brow henna products vary. Some contain PPD or other added dyes rather than plain henna, so ask what is in the product and have a patch test before the first appointment. Oil, exfoliants and swimming shorten the skin stain. This is general information, not medical advice.
Hamd Beauty does not offer henna brows. Its henna service is body art for the hands and feet, and its brow service is threading.
We do not offer this at present. It is explained here because people ask about it.
