Lash tint
Also called: Eyelash tinting
Colouring the natural lashes with a dye made for use around the eyes, so they look darker and fuller without mascara.
A lash tint colours the lashes from root to tip with a dye formulated for the eye area. The therapist protects the skin under the eye, applies the dye with a fine brush while your eyes are closed, leaves it for a few minutes and wipes it away. On its own it takes about twenty minutes; it is usually done at the end of a lash lift.
The colour lasts around four to six weeks and fades as the lashes shed and regrow. It suits women with fair or light brown lashes who want a mascara-like effect that survives swimming and sleep, and it makes a lift more visible.
Tints can cause allergic reactions, even in people who have had them before, so a patch test a day or two before the first appointment is the standard precaution. Ordinary hair dye is never used near the eyes. If you have an eye condition, ask your doctor first. This is general information, not medical advice. At Hamd Beauty a tint is part of the lash lift and tint service.
