Bikini line

A bikini line wax tidies the edges: the hair on the inner thigh and just above the underwear line that would show in swimwear. It does not go further in. A Brazilian, by contrast, removes most or all of the hair in the area.

The skin here is thinner and more sensitive than on the legs, so the wax is applied in small sections with the skin held taut. The area usually takes ten to fifteen minutes on its own. Many therapists prefer hard wax here, though soft wax with strips is also common for the sides.

Smoothness commonly lasts three to five weeks. Loose cotton underwear for the rest of the day, and no hot baths, swimming or tight clothes for about a day, helps the skin settle. It is not suitable on broken or irritated skin, and in pregnancy ask your doctor first. This is general information, not medical advice.
