Laser hair removal
Also called: Laser and IPL hair removal
A clinic treatment that uses light energy to damage hair follicles over a course of sessions so that hair grows back finer and slower.
Laser hair removal is a medical aesthetic treatment, not a beauty service. A device sends light into the skin that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair and heats the follicle, which reduces future growth. It works best on dark hair and needs a course of sessions spaced weeks apart, with occasional top-ups afterwards. Results are long lasting but rarely permanent for every hair.
Because it is a medical device treatment, it belongs in a licensed clinic under a licensed practitioner, not at home. Ask about the practitioner's licence, the device, and how your skin tone and hair colour affect the result.
Laser and waxing do not mix. Waxing pulls out the root that the laser needs to target, so most clinics ask you to shave rather than wax between sessions, and to avoid waxing for a few weeks before and after. This is general information, not medical advice: ask the clinic and your doctor.
Hamd Beauty does not offer laser hair removal. Its hair removal services are warm wax for the body and threading for the brows.
We do not offer this at present. It is explained here because people ask about it.
