Underarm wax
Also called: Armpit wax and Underarm waxing
Removing underarm hair from the root with wax, a quick service that leaves the area smooth for a few weeks.
Underarm hair grows in more than one direction, so the therapist waxes the area in two or three small sections, each pulled against its own growth. With the arm raised and the skin held taut it takes about five to ten minutes for both sides.
Because the skin is thin and the hair coarse, the first few times can sting. Regrowth is a little faster here than on the legs, commonly two to four weeks, and many women find the hair comes back finer with regular waxing.
Leave deodorant off for the rest of the day, as the pores are open and it can irritate. Skip the gym and hot showers for a few hours. Underarm wax is not suitable on broken skin or straight after shaving, and it needs hair of a few millimetres to grip. This is general information, not medical advice; ask your doctor if you have a skin condition or are pregnant.
The underarms are included in the Hamd Beauty full body wax.
