Hair extensions
Also called: Clip-ins, tapes, wefts and Hair pieces
Added human or synthetic hair attached to your own for length or volume: clip-in pieces for a night, or tape, weft and bonded types that stay in for weeks.
Hair extensions add length or thickness. Clip-in pieces are the simplest: wefts with small combs that clip in under your own hair and come out at night. Semi permanent types are fitted by a specialist and stay in for weeks: tape-ins sandwiched at the root, sewn-in wefts on a small braid, and bonded or micro ring strands attached piece by piece. All of them need to be moved up as your hair grows.
Clip-ins take minutes and last for years with care. Tape-ins are refitted every six to eight weeks and bonds every two to three months. Heavy or badly placed extensions pull on the root and can thin the hair at the attachment point, so good matching, light weight and rest periods matter more than length.
Hamd Beauty does not fit or sell hair extensions. If you own clip-in pieces, mention them when booking an event hairstyle and ask whether the therapist can work them into the style.
We do not offer this at present. It is explained here because people ask about it.
