Scalp massage
Also called: Head massage and Scalp treatment
Slow, firm fingertip pressure worked over the whole scalp for five to fifteen minutes, usually while a mask or oil is on the hair.
A scalp massage uses the pads of the fingers to press and move the skin of the scalp in small circles, from the hairline to the nape and behind the ears. It is done while a conditioning mask or a light oil is on the hair, so the product spreads evenly and the movement is comfortable. Most women find it the most relaxing part of any hair service.
It takes five to fifteen minutes inside a treatment. The immediate effects are relaxation, a looser neck and a scalp that feels clean and awake. Claims that massage regrows hair are not something a beauty service can promise; if you are losing hair, ask your doctor, who can look for the cause.
A scalp massage is part of the Hamd Beauty repair treatment. If you have a scalp condition such as psoriasis, eczema, an infection or open sores, ask your doctor before booking any service that works on the scalp, and tell the therapist. This is general information, not medical advice.
